Cobia, or Black Kingfish, are an amazing fish. Often cobia are seen swimming with Manta Rays, and lures or slices cast and retrieved close to these rays will normally get results.
The hard fighting characteristics of Cobia, make it a great sportfish, with larger specimens a real test for skill and gear. The unusual appearance of the cobia, often sees them confused with sharks, and disappointment will turn to elation when correct identification is made, due to their beautiful eating qualities. I love ’em!
